During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims break their fast with a meal called "Iftar" in the evening. It happens at Maghrib (sunset) and is a time to be thankful, think, and be with others.

As part of his Sunnah, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that people should break their fast with dates and water before having a full meal. While each culture's traditional Iftar meals are different, they usually include fruits, soups, bread, rice, and meat foods that are very good for you after a day of fasting.

During Iftar, people don't just eat to stay healthy; they also renew their spirits. Families, friends, and towns come together to share this holy meal, which strengthens the bonds of kindness and unity. A lot of mosques and charities offer free Iftar meals so that everyone, even those who aren't as wealthy, can enjoy this special time.

During Ramadan, this daily event serves as a reminder of the values of thankfulness, patience, and kindness that are stressed throughout the month of fasting.
